Our company has a very unique design process we follow to complete your site which focuses on you, the client. If the steps are followed in a timely manner, the entire process process is usually complete in 6-10 weeks.
Initial Contact – contact us via email or phone to give us an idea of what you are looking for in a website. Think about what you would like the site to accomplish for your business (specific goals).
Quote – we will create a custom quote created just for your project. We pride ourselves of sticking to the original quote (unless the scope of the project changes during production).
Contract – once you agree to the work and price, we will send you a contract to sign and return with your deposit.
Register Domain and Set Up Hosting – domain name and hosting fees are separate, annual fees, and are due up front in addition to the deposit. Once received, we will purchase the domain name in your name (beware of companies that purchase domains in their own name!) Hosting setup fees are waived if we design your site and you host it with us.
Layout – you may give us some existing websites that you like and we’ll take into consideration any color choices, logos, etc. to come up with your unique design. We will provide the initial, bare-bones design as a flat image file, uploaded to our servers. You will then let us know which features to modify/add/remove to achieve the layout you like. Once you have that, we ask for written approval of the design of the website. Any changes made after written approval will be billed additionally.
Pages – we begin to build the individual pages of your website, adding text, images, and any programming enhancements you requested. You provide all content, unless otherwise contracted. For a fee, we do offer copywriting services. You may select any images you would like to use from our collection of stock photography, or provide your own. For a fee, we can also take digital images of aspects of your company that you may display on your website.
Upload and Final Approval – we will upload the finished product to our servers and get any last minute edits or changes from you at this time. If you are hosting your site with us, we will upload it to your account for viewing. If you are hosting your site elsewhere, we will upload the site for viewing to a temporary account on our servers. Publishing the site to your account is free if you host with us.
Final Payment – you will make the final payment, at which time all copyrights to the website content not owned by a third party will revert to you (unless exemptions are made in the contract).
Search Engine Marketing – we design every site to be clean, efficient, and to naturally achieve fair rankings in the major search engines.
