CMS/Blog Sites

The latest wave of dynamic content sites are CMS sites, or Content Mangement Systems. CMS is an easy way for the client to maintain their own site. They can add content, news, blogs, etc. through a back end. CMS sites also have visitor interaction, such as polls, message boards, classified ads, comment systems for articles and posts, and other forms of visitor input. Below are a few custom CMS sites we have designed.

WordPress is  blog software with many available plugins, which also makes it double for a CMS system.  This is quickly becoming the CMS of choice and is the one we use the most.

A substantial part of our cms/blog work is contracted by other design firms.  Many times we are hired to program and configure WordPress and other software for another developer’s designs.  Because of this, you may see some of the sites in parts of our portfolio with other designers’ credits on them.

This started out as a blog about camping, and was recently relaunched as a full scale camping social networking site with the blog remaining as one component. Members can sign up, "like" other members and content, and have round table discussions with other members.
